Guiding You Through Shadows to Inner Strength
Iniciate a journey of self-discovery and empowerment with me, Carolina, your dedicated psychologist. Just like the shadows we keep hidden within, therapy can be an intimidating prospect. We often fear exposing our inner complexities to another, as if disturbing the shadows might unravel the very fabric of our being. Yet, it is these concealed shadows that silently influence our life’s course.
In the realm of the mind, shadows take the form of our personal “Cyclops and Lestrigons”, as beautifully articulated by Kavafis. They manifest from within, shaping our perspectives and determining our paths. The true revelation occurs when we acknowledge and embrace these shadows, transforming them from potential threats into invaluable companions on our journey.
Navigating Uncertain Waters Together
Our contemporary era is marked by unprecedented uncertainty and a pervasive sense of isolation, despite our global interconnectedness. In such times, the intrinsic human need for connection and understanding becomes more apparent than ever. Therapy serves as a compass, helping to shape your self-perception and guiding your gaze toward navigable seas.
I believe that, amid life’s storms, therapy provides the tools to navigate these turbulent waters. It is a transformative process that unfolds as we learn to appreciate our shadows, fostering a harmonious relationship with our inner selves. Together, we’ll navigate the intricacies of your psyche, unveiling the potential for growth, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose.
In these times of uncertainty and isolation, therapy becomes your compass, guiding you toward navigable seas. Take the first step toward resilience, growth, and renewed purpose. Schedule a discovery call with me and empower yourself on the path to inner strength.
-ITHAKA –
As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon- don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
wild Poseidon- you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
the sensual perfume of every kindas many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to gather stores of knowledge from their scholars.
Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you are destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you are old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her, you would not have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.
And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you will have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
